Redlands Municipal Airport (KREI)
- Non-towered airport (KREI), CTAF 122.8
- One paved runway 8/26, 4,500 ft
- 20 minutes from KL35 Big Bear City Airport (6,752 ft MSL)
- Quiet pattern, great for high-workload primary training
- Part 61 training; mountain and high-altitude proximity
Why train Instrument Rating at Redlands
KREI is the right choice for the Instrument when you already trained Private at Redlands and want continuity, when you live in the east side of the basin or the High Desert, or when you want a non-towered home base that pushes you to do your own clearance copy and approach setup without tower help.

Scheduling at KREI
Redlands runs Part 61 instrument training with flexible scheduling around the resident CFII team. Simulator sessions are scheduled at Riverside (KRAL) where the Redbird FMX is based; most KREI-based students do simulator blocks in batches rather than weekly.
